If you don't want to mount the master cylinder on the handlebars, the option has generally been to mount it inside the horn casting, except then there is usually an issue with what to do with the horn. There's also access as an issue.

Now, there is teh Hydra Front Master Cylinder.

It Clamps on the frame, inside the front mudguard, Cable operated to the master cylinder, and then hydraulic to the brake. It gives back that feeling so often lost with a pure hydraulic, and also doe snot ruin the lines of a Lambretta.
